As a civil engineering professional, I was surprised to discover the wide application of geography in flood modeling and mapping, and Dr. Patel’s expertise made the concepts simple. His clear explanations of DEM & Terrain Analysis, Stream & Watershed Delineation, Drainage Morphometry & Prioritization, and Flood Susceptibility Mapping were helpful. I appreciated the introduction to free software like “Whitebox” and “Hydro Office”, which I am eager to explore further along with our students of civil engineering. The workshop was educational, engaging, and exciting. I am thankful to INDACA for the opportunity to learn from Dr. Patel.
